Dan Go, a body transformation coach for entrepreneurs, outlined what he considers the ideal weekly workout schedule in a post on LinkedIn.
“If I were to create the world’s fittest workout schedule, here’s how it would look,” Go wrote. His plan includes lifting sessions on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday; active recovery on Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday; and sprinting on Saturday.
Go explained that the lifting days would be full-body workouts, spaced with rest in between. Active recovery would involve walking or light stretching to maintain blood flow. Sprinting, he noted, would provide vigorous cardiovascular training to strengthen the heart and lungs.
According to a 2022 review in Sports Medicine, active recovery between high-intensity workouts can improve performance and reduce fatigue by enhancing lactate removal and promoting circulation. Similarly, research published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine found that sprint training is one of the most time-efficient ways to improve both aerobic and anaerobic fitness.
Go is the founder of High Performance Founder, where he shares training and lifestyle advice to help entrepreneurs build strength, energy, and resilience.
