Author and prosperity teacher Randy Gage said people must learn how to play the money game in order to win at it.
“You don’t win the money game by working harder, praying harder, doing affirmations harder, or sacrificing your happiness for it,” Gage wrote in a blog post. “You win the money game by learning how to play the money game.”
Gage explained in the post that many people fail financially because they internalized harmful beliefs about money in childhood. “Most of the memes you have in your mind are probably the ones your broke parents, broke teachers, and broke clergy members infected you with,” he said.
In the post, Gage encouraged readers to intentionally reprogram their subconscious beliefs to align with prosperity, writing that “the beliefs you hold about money determine whether you attract it or repel it.”
Gage frequently writes about prosperity consciousness, teaching that developing an abundant mindset is essential for financial success. He often contrasts prosperity thinking with what he calls poverty consciousness—destructive beliefs that keep people financially stuck.
