As he approaches his 50th birthday, agency owner, speaker, and author Curt Mercadante revealed that his biological age is a surprising 32—an outcome he credits to a holistic approach to health that now guides not only his lifestyle but his business strategy.
“I went through a battery of physical tests this past week—DexaScan, VO₂ max, movement screens—and my scores are in the ‘Excellent’ category for my age across the board,” Mercadante wrote in a LinkedIn post. “The funny thing is… when I was 32, I probably had a biological age of 50.”
Mercadante explained that the shift came when he began treating his physical, mental, energetic, and spiritual health as the foundation of everything he builds—including his companies. He credits much of his transformation to following the Primal Blueprint popularized by Mark Sisson, but this week, he reframed the philosophy as a roadmap for entrepreneurial health.
In what he calls the Primal Entrepreneur Blueprint, Mercadante outlines a new approach to business: feed your mind with clean inputs like great hires and energizing clients, avoid toxins like burnout and hype, prioritize deep work over busy work, and recover intentionally. He likens bold moves in business to “lifting heavy things,” and emphasizes that creativity, recovery, and structure are just as essential to long-term success as strategy.
“Entrepreneurship is a full-contact sport,” he wrote. “Treat your body, mind, and business accordingly.”
Curt Mercadante is an agency owner and serial entrepreneur. He is co-founder of Accelerate Media Labs and Pipeline Media Agency, as well as Freedom Rising Enterprises. He has spoken to and coached entrepreneurs and audiences around the globe, and is author of the Amazon bestseller, Five Pillars of the Freedom Lifestyle.
