Green: ‘I Decided to Go All In on Building a Sellable Asset’

Ray Green, founder of RJG Consulting, said a major decision last year transformed the way he runs his business.

“Last November I made a decision that changed everything in my business,” Green posted on LinkedIn. “I decided to go all in on building a ‘sellable’ asset — a business capable of selling and delivering services on its own, without me. At least, eventually.”

That shift, Green said, changed how he approached nearly every aspect of his business.

“Focusing on building a scalable and independent business required me to rethink processes, delegation, and long-term strategy,” said Green. “It wasn’t easy, but it’s been a game-changer.”

Green’s post highlighted how shifting his mindset toward creating a self-sustaining business has allowed him to focus more on strategy and growth rather than daily operations. He encouraged other entrepreneurs to consider how they can create businesses that thrive without being dependent on them personally.

Green is the founder of RJG Consulting, where he advises businesses on strategy, leadership, and growth. Before starting his own firm, he worked in corporate leadership roles for over a decade.
