As spring unfolds and new life emerges, sales expert Mark Hunter reflects on the lessons this season offers — particularly when it comes to embracing change.
“One of the greatest lessons of spring is patience,” Hunter posted on LinkedIn. “My tree is not budding at the same time as the cherry blossoms up the street. We have to recognize that things continue to change. Not everything blooms at the same time.”
Hunter encourages his audience to view change not as an obstacle but as an opportunity. “Change itself isn’t the challenge—it’s how we choose to respond to it that determines our experience,” he emphasizes. “When we resist change, we feel stuck. But when we welcome it, we open ourselves to new possibilities.”
Drawing from personal experience, Hunter notes that shifting one’s mindset often starts with altering the environment. “Sometimes, when we feel uninspired or stuck in a rut, the best thing we can do is change our surroundings,” he writes. “A new perspective often starts with a fresh environment.”
Hunter also recommends resources for those seeking to improve their mindset, including Fanatical Prospecting by Jeb Blount and his own A Mind for Sales Masterclass available at Sales Hunter University.
