Entrepreneur and investor Nick Huber shared a foundational perspective on success in life and business, emphasizing the power of service and the realities of human behavior.
“You can’t succeed alone,” said Nick Huber in a post on X. “Almost everything worth doing in life requires cooperation and collaboration with other people.”
He added that trying to force others to act is futile—people only do things because they want to or because it serves their needs. And at the core of human behavior, he argued, is self-interest: “Every single person in the world is selfish.”
Yet, in a twist of insight, Huber concluded that the key to success is radical unselfishness. Business, he wrote, is not about personal goals or validation—it’s about helping others solve their problems in a way that makes their lives better.
Huber is the founder of Sweaty Startup and an advocate for small, service-based business ownership. His writing focuses on practical, boots-on-the-ground entrepreneurship and the mindset shifts required to create long-term value.
