Fiverr CEO Micha Kaufman says artificial intelligence is not a passing trend but a fundamental reordering of how work gets done.
“AI isn’t a trend, it’s a tectonic shift that’s rewriting the rules for all of us,” Kaufman posted on X. “We’re entering a time of extraordinary change: Traditional search (SEO) is fading, GPT-native search is rising. AI agents will fully automate countless tasks. If a machine can do it, a human shouldn’t.”
Kaufman acknowledged AI’s limitations but emphasized its role in transforming collaboration and productivity. “People will still rely on people for time arbitrage, a competitive edge, or complex orchestration. That’s where human–agent collaboration becomes powerful,” he wrote. “Top talent will become the differentiator for pushing boundaries.”
To meet this shift, Fiverr is investing in tools for elite professionals, which Kaufman described as a commitment to ensuring the platform is “where competitive talent comes to win.”
He added that Fiverr is already transitioning to a modular architecture using AI to “refactor legacy code, auto-generate documentation, and power custom workspaces across teams.” The goal, he said, is for everyone to “automate their manual work, freeing up time for strategic thinking, critical decisions, and creative problem-solving.”
“This shift is essential and impacts every part of the workforce, from global enterprises to solo freelancers,” Kaufman concluded. “No one’s on the sidelines anymore.”
