Author and prosperity coach Randy Gage says personal transformation requires rejecting toxic beliefs that glorify suffering and scarcity.
“To manifest an abundant life, you must blow up limiting beliefs that romanticize poverty, struggle, or victimhood – and replace them with empowering beliefs that respect the benefits of becoming healthy, happy, and rich,” Gage wrote in a blog post on his website. “More specifically, you need to have a tangible vision for the good you will create by living and modeling a prosperous life, and how you can use that abundance to become the highest possible version of yourself.”
Gage argued that social conditioning and cultural narratives often reinforce subconscious programming that keeps people stuck in cycles of lack. He pointed to religious, educational, and media messages that equate wealth with greed and virtue with sacrifice as key contributors to this mindset.
In his post, Gage urged readers to avoid toxic people and programming that reinforce these patterns. He emphasized that prosperity isn’t just financial—it’s also about mental, emotional, and physical well-being. Reprogramming those beliefs, he said, is the first step toward developing a vision of prosperity rooted in purpose, contribution, and self-actualization.
