Tara Chklovski, former aerospace engineer and founder of the edtech non-profit Technovation, is urging educators and institutions to prepare learners for the psychological and strategic demands of a world transformed by artificial intelligence. In a recent interview with Silicon Republic, Chklovski underscored the mental toll of navigating today’s accelerated information environment—and the need to build emotional resilience alongside technical expertise.
“We are living in an age of knowledge abundance, but our brains have not evolved to meet this abundance,” she said. “The speed and density of change is overwhelming. What is within our control is our ability to train for this, to be able to make strategic decisions and to innovate within these environments.”
Chklovski defines resilience not just as perseverance, but as the ability to remain calm, decisive, and innovative under pressure. Drawing parallels to how military, medical, and aviation professionals are trained to perform under extreme stress, she argued that these models should be integrated into broader education systems. “We know how to prepare people for these times,” she said. “We just need to bring in those lessons and insights into our education and training systems.”
Her perspective adds urgency to the global conversation about how schools, companies, and communities prepare individuals for an AI-driven future. While technological skills remain vital, Chklovski contends that adaptability, decision-making, and emotional strength are what will ultimately determine long-term success.
