In a LinkedIn newsletter titled “Fiverr CEO Hits the AI Panic Button”, sales futurist Victor Antonio shared stark insights into the accelerating impact of AI on work and survival in a transformed economy.
“Adapt or die is no longer a throw-away cliche but a clarion call to a new reality that many have yet to grasp or care to acknowledge,” Antonio wrote, referencing how AI is reshaping job functions across nearly every profession. His updated maxim for the age of artificial intelligence? “Upgrade your AI attitude, or downgrade your (revenue) expectations.”
Antonio’s piece highlights internal communication from Fiverr CEO Micha Kaufman, who told employees, “AI is coming for your jobs. Heck, it’s coming for my job too.” Kaufman’s blunt message warned that programmers, lawyers, designers, salespeople, and even executives are not immune from disruption, emphasizing that “what was once considered ‘easy tasks’ will no longer exist.”
Antonio concluded that AI is not a passing trend but a tectonic shift—one that will force organizations and individuals alike to develop new value-generating skills or face obsolescence. His call to action: embrace prompt engineering, AI fluency, and strategic reinvention—before it’s too late.
