Biohacker and health optimization expert Dave Asprey recently offered a supplement stacking recommendation designed to boost the effectiveness of Vitamin D, emphasizing the importance of nutrient synergy for immune and bone health.
“If you take Vitamin D, take these as well: Vitamin A, Vitamin K2, Magnesium,” said Dave Asprey in a post on X. “Here’s why.”
He explained that Vitamin A works with Vitamin D to support immune function, while Vitamin K2 helps direct calcium to the right places in the body—into bones rather than arteries—preventing unwanted calcification. Magnesium, meanwhile, is essential for Vitamin D activation in the body, helping it become bioavailable.
Asprey’s advice reflects a common theme in biohacking: that isolated supplementation may be less effective, or even counterproductive, without complementary nutrients. He recommends this particular trio to enhance the benefits of Vitamin D and minimize potential side effects, such as calcium misplacement.
