Dave Asprey: ‘Your diet is one of the main drivers of how fertile you are’

Nutritional biohacker and entrepreneur Dave Asprey said diet plays a critical role in fertility, highlighting five foods that may help improve reproductive health in a post on X.

“Your diet is one of the main drivers of how fertile you are,” Asprey wrote. “The five foods mentioned above are loaded with vitamins, minerals, and healthy fats that are crucial for creating sex hormones and signaling to the body that there are enough raw materials to create a human.”

Asprey pointed to grass-fed beef, oysters, grass-fed butter, pasture-raised egg yolks, and avocados as key fertility-supporting foods. He warned that the modern environment — full of toxins, poor nutrition, and chronic stress — often signals to the body that it is unsafe to conceive.

“Believe it or not, the world is facing a severe infertility problem,” he said, attributing much of the issue to environmental and lifestyle factors such as overexercise and malnutrition.
